The basic idea for this piece came from a dream. The process began by sketching various ideas:

Then one day, mooching around in a Mexican bazaar, this box of herbs jumped off the shelf and screamed, "Use me!"

Using it was indeed what happened. The first version was too pink. After much head-scratching, gold and silver better suited the image.
